Electron microscopy is our main technique in the lab for structural studies on various different samples.
Methods
We use modern equipment in our lab from sample preparation, imaging, to analysis. Next to our own equipment we closely work together with various facilities from both UNIL and EPFL.
CLEM
Correlative Light and Electron Microscopy allows for localization and visualization of specific targets in tissue.
AFM
Our group is involved in the study of the mechanical and dynamical properties of living organisms using Atomic Force Microscopy
Equipment
We utilize several specialized instruments for our research. These include a prototype high-end electron microscope that is specialized for stroboscopic single electron cryo-EM and for aberration-corrected diffracted imaging (Ptychography) applications. We also work with the first prototype of the CryoWriter.
